01 / The practice

Our founder read applications for a living. Now he teaches what that taught him.

Nassau Hall Prep is a tutoring practice in Princeton. We do SAT and ACT prep, subject tutoring for AP courses, and college essay coaching from the first brainstorm to the final draft. Every tutor here scored in the 99th percentile of the test they teach.

02 / How we work

Start with a diagnostic, not a guess.

We begin with a full-length practice test at the real clock. It is free on a Saturday, and you get the score report whether or not you book anything afterwards.

A full-length practice test

Timed the way the exam is timed and marked the way it is marked, so the number you get is the number you would get on test day.

A report you can act on

Which sections lost points, which questions went wrong twice, and which of those are fixable in the weeks you have before the exam.

A plan with dates on it

What we cover each week, when to sit the next practice test, and the date the real thing comes round.

Not sure whether to sit the SAT or the ACT? Call (609) 555-0134 and we will help you choose.

05 / Book a diagnostic

Sit a full-length practice test this Saturday, free.

It takes a morning. You leave with a score and a report showing which sections lost points and which of them can be fixed in the weeks you have left.

06 / Families

What parents say afterwards.

Two families, two different starting points. Both began with the free diagnostic on a Saturday morning.

“The first thing they did was hand him a full practice test at the real clock. After that, every session had a reason behind it.”

Rachel M., Princeton

“She brought in a draft she could not stand. A few sessions later it was finished, and it still sounded exactly like her.”

07 / Questions

Two things parents ask first.

If the answers raise anything else, call the practice and ask it. You will be talking to a tutor.

Cost

What does a term of tutoring cost?

Private test prep is $135 an hour. The SAT package is $2,500 for twenty hours booked together, and essay coaching packages start at $900. The diagnostic practice test on a Saturday costs nothing.

Getting started

Do we have to buy a package first?

No. Book the free diagnostic practice test, sit it on a Saturday morning, and decide after you have seen the score report. A tutor walks you through the report either way.
